The Book Bounce Contest

I read. A LOT. I’m a definite subscriber to the quote by Stephen King, who basically said “A writer reads all the time.”

Yup that’s me. I spend as much time with my nose stuck in a book as I do sitting with my nose stuck to my computer screen writing one.

So, I got to thinking (you can probably smell the smoke from wherever you are :) ), that instead of letting these books collect dust, why not share them or “bounce” them over to someone else? Depending on what I’m reading and what I’m willing to part with, the list may grow each month. And who knows some of the winners just might be introduced to an author they’ve never read before or a genre they never considered. That’s what this contest is all about – broadening reading horizons, finding a new love and maybe connecting with a new author whose backlist you might want to hunt for on your next trip to the bookstore or be her newest fan, eagerly awaiting the latest release.

I always include the author’s website linked under the book, so you can feel free to check out the site and possibly read an excerpt before you decide if you want to toss you name into the contest.

Either way, we all win. I make some room on my bookshelf (for what else, but more books!) and I get to share some great books and authors with you, the reader! (Please keep in mind, these are books that have been purchased by me. They will come to you in excellent condition, but they have been read – by me!)

The rules are simple. Just add your name, email and most importantly, whether or not you’ve read this month’s author before in the comment section of THIS post and you’ll be in the running. If you win, I contact you – get your address – and send you the book on the sidebar. Winner is picked on the last day of the month by putting the number of comments in a hat and chosen at random by one of my kids – good luck!
